Maria has been painting over 30 years

Maria Kuipers has been painting over 30 years predominantly from her studio in Brighton, East Sussex.  In 1990 after a powerful spiritual encounter she changed careers and began painting traditional and colourful landscapes to celebrate her new found faith. In 1995 she studied Fine Art and Related arts with an immediate transition to conceptual work, autobiographical imagery, copious experimentation and a particular interest in crossing over disciplines. In 1998 Maria graduated with a First class Fine Art Honours Degree and shortly after returned to mixed media painting on canvas and paper.  Her work continues to develop, intrigue and surprise.
